  • Ooh, mouthwash, inside of face all tingly. Feels like it might come off. Bad.

  • Made a 40 mile round trip to two game shops, both of which were closed because *drumroll* it's Wednesday. Here was me thinking it was 2013. Absolutely bloody furious. "Waah, everyone buys off the internet" I WONDER WHY! Rapidly losing patience with shops in general, if they have anything worth buying it's no cheaper than online, in which case why not sit on your backside and just order it. /rage

  • It's great not having to worry about any more exams! Got a solid few months for essential gaming catch up and relaxing :D

  • Nice one, it's a good feeling to get the wretched things out of the way, and what better way to recover than PS1 games :D

  • Ah, it must be innuendo day at Retrocollect towers :D

  • Sod all in town today, but I'm off to one of my favourite shops in a min, apparently there's some new games in :D

  • Sorry MF, I don't have it haven't had since it first came out. Because I was stuck with my Spectrum when most folks had more modern computers I was limited to pretty much any cheap games I could find or the latest Codemasters releases, meaning the likes of Turbo and Grell & Falla (which is the one I'm trying to find with no luck, must be rare as hell).

  • TTT, in no order:

    Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (PS1)
    Jumping Flash 2 (PS1)
    Super Mario World (SNES)
    Turbo the Tortoise (ZX Spec.)
    Robocod (MD)
    Psychic World (MS)
    Kid Chameleon (MD)
    Rayman (PS1)
    Kid Icarus (GB)
The Munchables (Wii) - not a pure platformer but I'm counting it anyways

    • I used to love this one, it's like a clone of Mappy/Flicky on a single screen, seem to remember some really sweet music too. Very nice collection of g

  • Oh definitely! I won't be burning any petrol though since I have to walk everywhere! Heck that's a great guy to buy stuff from then, got a local seller here in Inverness who does me pretty good deals so I've done my best to keep him in business. :D

  • Don't let it put you off the series, in only a month's time Resident Evil: Revelations will be published on the 360/PS3/Wii U, and that's a deliberate swing back towards survival horror on Capcom's part. To clarify it's not games moving away from core SH gameplay that bothers me, it's whether I enjoy the game on its own merits, and in RE6's case it was a long, miserable slog to nowhere.

  • Suirvival horror has morphed into action not quite horror on the whole. Im gonne try out the Resi Outbreak games soon and see if that restores my faith in the series.

  • It's still worth checking them out, just don't burn too much petrol :D Also, make sure you check with video game dealers/resellers, some of them do have some gems at good prices. A dealer I know had a copy of God Hand on the PS2 in his boxed of games for £1 - knew exactly what it was but sold it to me for a quid quite happily, he's made of win.

  • God only knows, the mainstream game market seems to have lost the plot regarding survival horror, devs/pubs don't know how to do it or how to move on from it, resulting in soggy messes like RE6 and Dead Space 3. Thank gawd for SH's back catalogue.
