Luckily for European collectors, there is just short of 350 PAL Nintendo NES games to collect. Our friends across the pond in the US however, have a massive 749 licensed releases to track down. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the NES, here is a video of all the US releases.
To think 25 years ago this month, American gamers were finally getting started with the Nintendo NES and Super Mario Bros, while Europe and Australia had to wait another year before the NES arrived. The NES became a huge success in America, yet in Europe it found itself head to head with the Sega Master System and eventually the Sega Megadrive.
With 749 licensed releases, the NES experienced a very healthy life in the US, offering a whole selection of ground breaking titles PAL gamers never got to enjoy. Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Crystalis, Bubble Bobble Part 2 and Mega Man 6 to name a few. But we will let you work out which ones PAL gamers missed out on with 15 minutes of NES action below.
