While we may be familiar with the finished product of a video game, how much do we really know about what happens behind the scenes? With sound effects, programming, graphics and music to consider, the British actor Craig Charles takes us through the entire process at Gremlin Graphics' headquarters.
Since the arrival of social networks and the internet, modern games companies have adopted a much more open approach to the creation of their games, often allowing their followers to get a much closer look at what goes on behind the scenes throughout the process. Before these days of easy connectivity, the closest gamers ever got to the promised land was via the snippets of insider gossip in magazines such as Mean Machines, Gamesmaster and C&VG.
Thanks to a recent upload on YouTube from NESWorld (who also made the RetroCollect news earlier this week), we're pleased to say that we can finally step back in time and take the closer look inside we always dreamed of. This archived footage features the team at Gremlin Graphics discussing their work on the Super Nintendo racer; Nigel Mansell's World Championship Racing.
