Advertisements from Retro Game Magazines (Part 1)

Retro-Game-Magazine-AdvertsFollowing on from our TV commerical feature, it only seemed fair to give retro magazines the same treatment. WIth a wealth of classic advertisements in print, RetroCollect takes a fair share of pages to showcase in celebration of a time gone by.

One of the best moments reading a gaming magazine in the 90s, was seeing a selection of new and upcoming games featured in between the magazine's content. These full page spreads often gave us a tiny, yet anticipated insight into these new releases, preparing us for even more gaming ahead.

However as we all know too well, print isn't always as truthful as can be. With some advertisements displaying such bright and heavily saturated visuals, they could often be found hiding a buggy mess of a game underneath. With nothing to distinguish the good from the bad, we prepare you for our first gallery of retro game magazine adverts.

Stay tuned for part 2!
